Netflix Raised Prices - What Will I Do Now?

Netflix is the juggernaut on the block now, as Blockbuster is Busted (but DISH owns 'em now) . The damn stock has gone through the roof. They have at least 23 million subscribers.

So now it's time to raise prices on us.

So the question is: should I just pay more for a combo streaming/DVD plan or should I just pick one or the other?

One nice thing about having both streaming and DVD rentals is that there are instances when movie availability doesn't overlap. For example, sometimes the movies I see are only available through streaming because they were never released on DVD. Most of the time, though, it's the other way around - there are tons of flicks available on disc but not streamable. (Let's face it, Netflix needs to improve their streaming selections).

So I think I may just drop streaming and go with DVD after all. Sure, it takes away my impulse-watching capabilities but I'll be paying $7.99 a month instead of $15.98 a month. That's a savings of almost $100 bucks a year.

Now that I think about it, it's not that big a deal. But lots of people are furious about it.

But seriously, what are you gonna do? Cancel? Hahaha... get real. You're addicted, and Netflix knows it.
